I Got A New Toy...

We just installed “Aperture”*

and I’ve been on the computer

for about 10 hours 12 hours straight..

*(a photo manipulation software)

I got me a new jones...

and I’m really, really hooked.

From now on

no photo will be left alone.

I’m tweaking em all!

And then with the help of my friend Jill over at GYPSY BROCANTE...
I went ahead and got into Picnik as well.

somebody stop me!
cause this is way too much fun and I
can’t quit!!

Way back in l971, when I got my first Minolta SLR camera,
I couldn’t put the thing down.   I carried it with me wherever
I went.  Then a friend took me into their darkroom and I
was hooked.  I took photo and darkroom classes at the
local junior college.  I started to hand tint photos with
colored pencils, crayons and ink...

then it all stopped and I gave up the hobby that I loved
and just got into other stuff.

And now, here I am again.  Thanks to my blog
and some nifty tools...I’m back doing what I
use to love so much.

Yay  Me!

Extreme FUN.....I know you will have hours and hours of it...before you get the least bit bored.
I have been playing with photo editing for years now...still don't know 1/1000 of what I would like. ( I do not venture out of the box much tho.)
I have a feeling you will be doing a LOT more of that than I would.

GLAD YOU ARE HAVING SUCH A GOOD TIME.

WOOOHOOO Cynthia!
Look at your beautiful photo's!!! I'm so glad you got back into a hobby that you once loved. Yes...now you can show me some tips and tricks as I really don't know anything about photography. What is the Aperture thing? Is it like Photoshop? Tell me more...I NEED to know! :) I finally figured out how to get my camera into 'Manual' mode after a couple of years of owning this camera but that's about all I know..I fly by the seat of my pants ;) Anyway I'm happy for you girl...I'm looking forward to seeing what else you come up with. HAVE FUN! Maura :)

Whoa, I thought I was doing well with a new camera.... And now there's another world to look at.
Lovely photos, really like the door in the mirror. Oh and the mirror with the flowers round is just lovely.

So much fun!!! - and yes, it is addictive. Time gets away, and often I collapse into bed after manipulating a stack of images late into the night, but I find it all fascinating, fun and each photo holds a whole scope of creative possibility.
Often I find myself saying "I must paint this one day", but there never seems enough time, particularly when there and so many fascinating people such as yourself,to visit.
Looking forward to seeing more of your creations in the world of music, jewellery, photography and gardening!xx

How fun! I keep resisting the urge to go out and buy a new camera... I used to dabble in it, even had my own darkroom set up, Old school... black and white (it was a while ago) I am glad you are happy in your passion, you have an eye for it!
Have a fun week
Blessings

Hi Cynthia
I'm sure the addiction will be hard to give up.. I know I can't...

I'm not sure about Picnik .. haven't used it.. but be careful with online programs that access your own personal files.. ie picasa... I never give any online program permission to access my hard drive.. [what a party pooper I am.. hahaha.. can't help it. IT analyst!!]

Have load of fun!!! ciao xxx Julie
